Asked to make donations

So this past Sunday after church - I was honored by being asked to make some type of item or items that cold be sold at the church's annual craft bazaar. I was so tickled - I've not been asked to do such a thing before. Maybe some people would look at that as - oh, they want something for free - but I look at it as - I get to do something I love and donate it to something I love.

I looked through some of my books for ideas last night - that always stirs up the excitement and creativity in me. And then reality hits me and I realize I don't have a bunch of time to dedicate to my quilting. Many blogs I read the person gets to work on something everyday - I would love to do that... I just don't have the time. So I am hoping that after cleaning the house tomorrow I can carve out some time to start working on these donations.

Sunday we are having some friends over for the NASCAR race - that will be fun - but again means no creativity time.

Weather is confusing here in So. CA. A couple of days ago it was 55, then over 100 and now reasonable again!

My Give Away, if I haven't told you already:

To be given away on June 1st - Three Moda Jelly Rolls - Nature's Chorus, Baskets of Flowers, Spring Magic. To enter simply post your quilt picture on the Show and Tell page:
Make sure you note YOUR NAME along with the title of the quilt - each posting is one entry into the Give-away
There will be three winners - names drawn at random from the Show and Tell postings on May 31st and posted on this page June 1st. If you have previously posted a photo, simply drop me an e-mail and let me know you wish to be entered.

***I have a new category at Quilt Qua - for Give Aways, so do let me know if you are having one, or if you know of one.

***Here is a great write-up about Quilt Qua in SuzNuz:

***Also, let me know if you wish to link to me to move to the first list of blogs on the website.

Hello! Fun to "meet" you! I'm new to blogworld & looked up other New England bloggers on Quilting Bloggers. There's only one quilt store that I know of in Chester, VT! :o))))) Food allergies... very scary! My youngest was in the ER today for a food allergy. She is allergic to lentils. Which sneak into breads and pastas.... Would legume flour (which mine is so allergic to) help your bread dilema? Enjoyed your blog! Joy! Katie

I *so* understand what you mean; even though my children are grown and gone, what with working fulltime and church and taking care of hubby & home, sometimes my quilting time gets pushed further and further back! Congrats on the honor of being asked to make something as a donation! I like your attitude! Have a *great* weekend! :)
